Please welcome our newest partner – Tree of Life!
On October 27, 2018, Tree of Life was the site of the worst anti-Semitic attack in the history of the United States. A mass shooting inspired by hate killed 11 people and injured six during Shabbat morning services.
Since the horrendous attack, the building has been both a crime scene and de facto memorial. Tree of Life, as well as the other congregations who use the building, have since met for services and conducted business in other locations. Today, the congregation and the entire Pittsburgh community is prepared to begin the next chapter in their combined history as they reimagine the site's new potential.
Tree of Life Congregation was founded more than 150 years ago in 1864. In 2010 the Congregation merged with Or L’Simcha (founded in 2005) to form Tree of Life*Or L’Simcha. As a conservative Jewish congregation, Tree of Life remains true to traditional teachings, yet is also progressive and relevant to the way we live today.
Lipton Strategies is proud to partner with Tree of Life to plan, implement, and lead a successful capital campaign to remember, rebuild, and renew. To inquire about supporting this historic campaign email TreeofLife@LiptonStrategies.com.
