Hannah Beck
Associate
Hannah is a recent UCLA graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Gender Studies. She has philanthropic experience working on the executive boards of Aristotle’s Mentorship and the UniCorps division of UniCamp at UCLA, while also working part-time at a UCLA bookstore. Following graduation, she honed her operational skills as an Operations Manager at LuValle Commons. Though currently located in Los Angeles, Hannah was born and raised in Oklahoma and moved to LA for school. She is passionate about LGBTQ+ advocacy and enjoys roller skating and spending time with her dog.
Sara Hertz
Consultant
Sara is an expert in nonprofit leadership and resource development, with more than 30 years of experience working with organizations globally. She has raised more than $200 million and closed record-breaking gifts. Her career spans two continents and includes senior and C-level positions at organizations throughout the U.S. and the U.K. like The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, and the University of Pennsylvania, as well as regional institutions like the Philadelphia Zoo, the Academy of Natural Sciences, and most recently, Philabundance.
Outside of work, Sara has served as an elected official, currently serves as a member of the advancement committee of Maternity Cares Coalition, and is the development committee chair of the board of Wissahickon Trails. She enjoys spending time with her two grown sons, playing with her dog, hiking, gardening, and anything to do with food. She lives outside of Philadelphia with her wife, Lee.
Cruz Ramirez
Consultant
Cruz Ramirez is an experienced fundraiser with nearly a decade of building individual gift programs and serving as a front-line major gift and planned giving officer. Throughout his career, he has worked with organizations spanning the conservation, social services, and early childhood education sector. Prior to his fundraising career, Cruz managed public policy initiatives and political campaigns. He is a licensed attorney in New York and Arizona. Cruz lives in San Francisco with his Boston Terrier, Bobo, and enjoys spending as much time outside in nature as possible.
